New Features in GeoData Sentry Update

We’re thrilled to announce the latest update to GeoData Sentry, packed with powerful new tools to boost your data quality and efficiency.

The latest release of GeoData Sentry enhances its automated Quality Control and Quality Assurance capabilities for Esri’s ArcGIS geodatabase. These updates focus on improving data integrity, accuracy, and operational efficiency for utility companies and other organizations relying on precise geospatial information.

What’s New?

Support for ArcGIS Pro 3.3

GeoData Sentry now supports the latest release from Esri. We work hard to keep up with their progress. Now you can test your data with their latest.

Support for PostgreSQL

Now you can seamlessly connect to PostgreSQL open-source object-relational database system. Just create the connection for the database and you are off and testing. 

New Tests

Point on Vertex
Purpose: Detects point features coincident with a line without a vertex, preventing Utility Network Topology issues.
Benefit: Ensures external data sources participate correctly with the network topology.

Duplicate Across Feature Classes
Purpose: Identifies duplicate features across multiple classes, preventing Stacked Point Dirty Areas.
Benefit: Maintains cleaner and more accurate data before applying changes to the Utility Network.

Linear Referencing System (LRS) Tests

Invalid Measures
Purpose: Detects invalid measure values on routes.
Benefit: Ensures accurate event locations along routes.

Event Overlaps
Purpose: Identifies overlapping events within the same category or route.
Benefit: Prevents reporting and analysis issues.

Event Gaps
Purpose: Finds events with gaps in the measures within the same category or route.
Benefit: Prevents analysis and reporting discrepancies.

Disconnected Calibration Points
Purpose: Detects calibration points that are not connected to their routes.
Benefit: Prevents internal inconsistencies in the LRS Network.

Non-monotonic Routes
Purpose: Identifies routes with inconsistent m-values.
Benefit: Ensures reliable data analysis by maintaining consistent route data trends.

Reporting Enhancements

Expanded RunReport
Feature: Includes all locator columns in the RunReport.xlsx.
Benefit: Provides a comprehensive view of test results.

Report Comparison and Analysis
Feature: Compares two RunReports to show error trends and cleanup progress.
Benefit: Facilitates tracking of error resolution and ongoing data quality improvements.

All of these updates help you maintain accurate, reliable data, ensuring better decision-making and operational efficiency.
